Heating In Mongolia at -40 Degrees
The temperatures across the country are not rising above freezing, making life increasingly difficult. In some places where the average temperature is -40°C, when the temperature shows -20°C, it’s not uncommon for people to think, ‘The weather is nice today.’
Animals, too, are struggling in the frozen, snow-covered steppe, walking kilometers to find a bit of grass. Some manage to survive on a small piece of grass they find, while others are not so fortunate. Affected by hunger and the cold, some animals perish.
Eight months of snow cover
People who make a living through livestock never stop working, even in difficult conditions. In some parts of the country, the snow cover remains for 8 months of the year, putting families engaged in animal husbandry in serious trouble. This is a country where all living beings are battling the cold.
Every Child Loves Education!
Children, whose excitement for learning gives them warmth, are the ones most affected by the cold. Sometimes, young men with slanted eyes have to walk for hours just to learn a single word. They brave the freezing cold for their education.
