Homes In Mongolia warmed
In Mongolia, where winter is at its peak and life is a little more difficult to hold on to, a house in winter is happy only to be warm. Most days of the year, almost 260 days, there are blue skies above. Temperature fluctuations are felt not only annually but also during the day.
The temperature during the day can sometimes vary between 20-30 degrees Celsius. In these conditions, since not all families have the same standard of living, some families have serious problems to spend the winter in a healthy and warm environment. Even the heating of student dormitories in some regions is a problem. If the heaters go out for only five minutes, it means that the room freezes in five minutes.
January is the coldest month of the year. In some parts of the country the temperature drops to -45…hot -50°С. We, as Arif Association, started a winter season heating support project with the slogan “Let’s catch up before winter comes” through the No Virtue Wise NYO association and we supported 11 student dormitories, 60 students and 15 teachers in each dormitory, a total of 592 tons of coal, a total of 600 households (families) in need of heating and 4200 people in need.
We thank all our volunteers for their donations.
